Lea Pleated Pants // PDF Sewing Pattern
SIZE RANGE: World XS-2XL / US 0-20 / EU 34-52
Lea is a pair of pants with functional front hip pockets. The front features two soft pleats at the waistline directed towards the center seam. The back features waist darts. The pants have a classic fly front fastening. You can choose classic belt loops for the detachable wide belt or double belt loops that allow you to wear a narrow or wide belt, as you wish.
There are two views included in this pattern. View A has a wide leg. View B has a tapered leg.
These breezy wide-leg pants are perfect for balmy days, whether you are traveling or shopping at your local farmers’ market.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate. Techniques include sewing darts, fly front fastening, waistband, front hip pockets.

To sew the Lea pants, choose suiting fabrics with the following properties:
- Light or medium-weight, pliable, breathable, with good drape
- The fabric content can include natural (silk, cotton, linen), artificial (viscose), blends (linen + silk, linen + cotton, cotton + viscose, etc.), and synthetic fibers (polyester);
- The following fabrics are recommended: dress-weight viscose, soft linen, challis, natural silk, man-made silk, polyester.
The sample is made from a rayon fabric. This fabric is medium-weight, pliable, soft, with good drape.
